Meet The Characters

This Hope Journey event is open to Year 2 pupils and it typically offered to schools during Advent.
Children visit a church to explore the Nativity Story through role-play and craft. Volunteers take on the different ‘character roles’ and through conversation and questioning, transport the children to the heart of the story. Throughout the visit the children receive a ‘token’ from each of the characters to mark their visit.

A tableau, singing traditional carols forms the culmination of the journey.
We have now offered Meet The Characters of the Nativity for 9 consecutive years.
